This page explains what personal information Pit Lane Mobile Tyres collects when you get in touch, why we hold it, and what your rights are. We keep it deliberately short and plain.

Who we are

Pit Lane Mobile Tyres is a mobile tyre-fitting business based in Blackwood, South Wales. For anything about your information, contact us on 07955 394341. We are the “data controller” for the information described here.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to give you a quote and carry out the work:

You give us this yourself when you call us, send a WhatsApp message or text us. We do not buy data about you or collect it from anywhere else.

Why we hold it, and for how long

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, give you a price, arrange a time and complete the fitting — and to keep a basic record of the work in case you contact us about it later. The lawful bases we rely on are taking steps to enter into a contract with you and our legitimate interest in running the business and keeping proper records.

We keep enquiry messages and job records for up to 6 years (to cover tax records and any warranty or dispute), then delete them.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. We only pass on details where we have to in order to do the job or meet the law — for example a tyre supplier (your tyre size, not your name), or our accountant and HMRC for tax. WhatsApp messages are carried by Meta Platforms under their own terms.

Cookies and this website

This site uses cookies only for Google Ads measurement — so we can see which enquiries came from an advert. There is no third-party tracking or profiling, and the site works normally if you block them.

When we are running Google Ads, we use the Google Ads tag to see which visits and enquiries came from an ad. It sets a first-party cookie (usually named _gcl_au, lasting up to about 90 days) and sends limited information to Google — the page you landed on, the ad click that brought you here, and whether you went on to tap “Call” or “WhatsApp”. It does not tell us your name and we do not use it to build a profile of you. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in understanding whether our advertising works.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic, anonymous visitor numbers (page views, rough country, which pages are popular, how fast the site loads). It sets no cookies, does not track you across other websites, and collects nothing that identifies you personally.

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which sends your device’s IP address to Google to deliver the font files. The “Call” and “WhatsApp” buttons simply open your phone’s own dialler or WhatsApp app.

Managing cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can control ad personalisation in your Google Ad Settings. Blocking these cookies will not stop you using the site or contacting us.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just call or message us. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date at the top.
